Marmaris is around 100km from Dalaman airport, on the southwest coast. Marmaris is one of the largest most developed Turkish resorts. It is split up in to two parts there’s the old quarter and the new town.
The old quarter has kept more of the Turkish tradition with is winding streets and
its wonderful shops and stalls for you to visit. The new town offers a promenade which leads along the harbour which comes to pubs, bars and restaurants.
If you are feeling adventurous the you can always take Dalyan cruise which will take you down the Dalyan river and it will take you to see the Tomb of the Kings, and if that doesn’t interest you then you can always try water sports down on the beach front, things like sailing and scuba diving.
The resort of Marmaris appeals to all ages as this resort has something for everyone!
If your wanting the warmest time of the year then it will be July and August with the temp over 30 C and having 11 – 12 hours of sun it would be hard not to go home with a tan. But if you’re wanting something cooler then maybe April, May and October are the better months for you.
